What a shit day this has turned out to be so far. First, my sister had court today to deal with the custody of her children. Well it ended up being a preliminary hearing and my sister now has custody officially of my younger nephew, Daniel. Now here is the fucked up part. The EARLIEST date for their big court date is May 14th!!!!! I could not believe it. Neither could my Mom and sister.
Then, my brother just got word that he is going to be shipped overseas in 2-3 weeks. They said he is most likely heading to Gitmo or Baharain. They are also extending his stay in the Navy by 4-5 months. Oh, and still no job for me....good times noodle salad for the Hayden family.
Update: My brother is heading to Gitmo

Job Fair Part Deux
Well I got back from the job fair earlier. It was MUCH better than the Fredneck one yesterday. I am right now trying to think of a cover letter for the NY Fed (even though the job is in Richmond, it would be for the NY Fed). There were actually a few positions that interested me there. I talked to some people and it seemed really cool.
I think my favorite job that I saw there was with Army Logisitics, since their main job is to help coordinate all the stuff in the military and make sure stuff gets to the right place, soldiers get their clothes, weapons, etc. With my brother in the military now, it just would seem like a cool career to get into and something very interesting to me.
I also got some pretty good swag. I got a hat from an government watchdog named FINRA and a couple of nice pens (my favorite is the FDIC one).
So, hopefully something positive comes out of this. Wish me luck people.

I know two posts in one day!
Hehe, didnt expect me to make a 2nd post today, but I am and it will be brief.
Went to said Job fair from the previous post. Found one job that actually pertained to me, though, tbh, I did apply to it as soon as I got home so I guess that was better than nothing. Hopefully something does come out of it, I'm sick of being at home and broke all the time.
There is another issue I have right now, but that is for another day and another time. As for now, I'm heading to bed.
I'll probably post tomorrow after I get home from Job Fair #2, this time at UVA (I have a good feeling about this one, this one seems structured for college graduates)....Good night all zero of you who read this, oh and if you do read this, feel free to comment....

Getting ready for another job fair
Hello again Blogosphere, It is I, Tom Hayden, once again, to talk about something...Oh yeah, this job fair I'm going to.
Job fairs are alright...you go, you mingle with these recruiters, you give them a resume, and it seems to me, you never hear from them again...Well, that is not completely true. I did get an interview from the last job fair I attended. Unfortunately, it was to become an Independent Agent for an insurance company. I could've gotten that job without busting my ass through UMW, but I went to see what they offered (I was hoping it was an actuarial position, sadly I was sorely mistaken.)
Well, I will update again sometime soon, I actually like posting like this since I can go back and see WTF I was thinking later on.
Oh, here is my link of the day:
http://www.erinmckeown.com/ - This was my HS valedictorian, she is an awesome singer and I think I'm going to go and see her perform at 9:30 club in December, if anyone else wants to go, feel free to throw me a line.
